10 Tips for Time Management

Time management is very essential in every aspect of our life especially to small/medium entrepreneur. Time management skills depend on how organized and productive we are in our daily business activities. Therefore, in every of our daily activities, we need to be time conscious because little precious time wasted can not be revive again.

Time management skill is important for any profession especially people who often find themselves performing many different job during the course of a single day. 1. Understand That Time Management Is A Myth
You need to realize that no matter how organized you are, knowing there are always only 24 hours in a day. So, time doesn’t change, nor stop but keep moving on. Realize that time is your life, and as you moving on in life and grow, you’re growing with time. So, all time wasted in the past can never be recover, and all we can actually do now is to manage ourselves, manage your time and what we do with our time every blessed day so as to ensure we utilize it well.

2. Discover Where You’re Wasting Time

Many of us are prey to time–wasters. The time supposes to have been use doing productive things was used for unnecessary activities. We steal time that could be using much more productively. What are your time-bandits? How do you manage your time? Do you spend too much time surfing the internet, reading emails, or making personal phone calls for whole day or tracking daily activities. Examine yourself and explains how to track your activities, so you can form accurate picture of what you actually do with your time.

3. Create Time Management Goals
This is very important to set a time management goal for yourself. Remember, the focus of time management is actually changing your behavour, not changing the time. A good place to start is by eliminating your personal time-wasters. For one week, you can set a goal that you’re not going to take personal phone call, or do whatever thing that will steal, or waste your time while you’re working or doing most important activity. This is as an extension of time management in tip number 3. The purpose of implementing time management plan is to change your habits over the use of time to achieve whatever general goal you’ve set for yourself, such as increasing your productivity or decreasing your stress. You don’t only need to set your specific goals, but you also need to track them over time to see if whether or not you are accomplishing them.

5. Make Use of Time Management Tools.

The first step to physically managing your time is to use a time management tools to know how to exploit your time well. Whether it is a day-timer or software program timer, you need to plan how you’re going to spend your time in the future. For instance, a software program like Microsoft Outlook lets you schedule events easily and it can be set to remind you of any events in advance, making your time management easier. You can also schedule and set time on your mobile device Smartphone Android, or calendar and time on your laptop to remind you of any events, and that makes you accomplish your task effectively for the day.

6. Learn To Delegate Or Outsource

No matter how small your business, there need for you to delegate. For effective time management, you need to let other people carry some of the load. Delegating lessens your burden and enable you focus on other task that also needs more of your attention. If you can accomplish the task within the specific time then you can outsource or employ someone to do the work for you and pay the person. You need to identify which task you’d be better off delegating or outsourcing as this will make you to use of your time accurately.

7. Set Your Priority Right

Start each day with a time management session by focusing on main concern tasks for that day, and set a target for your performance. If you have 15 tasks set to tackle for a day, how many of those tasks are more priority that you can truly accomplish? You must prioritizing your daily tasks and set a specific target to tackle the most important for each day.

8. Be Sure And Stay Organized

Do you waste a lot of time looking for files on your PC? You need to take time to organize and be a file management. 9. Be Time Conscious

For instance, if surfing the internet, answering phone calls, or reading, or replying email can consume all your time in a whole day, you can limit them if you’re conscious of time. Instead, set a limit of one or two hours a day for a specific task and stick to each of them to achieve your target.
10. Don’t Waste Time Waiting

This happen sometime to many of us when we have an appointment that keep us waiting for someone or something for the whole day without any result. If you have an appointment or meeting that keep you waiting, instead sitting fondling of hands, why not  take something to do with you to avoid wasting of time. You can take a blank paper, or report, or task you need to carry-out for the day along with you. Stop wasting time waiting for something that does not gives result.
